Eve and Cornelius are buried in the Badgley cemetery behind 3000 Old Caseyville Road (Now Drake Rd.), Fairview Heights, St. Clair, Illinois. Eve's the Tomb Stone reads: Eve A wife of Cornelius Rettinghouse BORN Jan.31,1914 DIED Oct.5,1886.

Spelling of Rettinghouse is Rittenhouse however on his Tombstone it is Rettinghouse. Gives date of August 2, 1834 but a copy of the orginal states License on August 1, 1835 and marriage on August 2 , 1835.
